Basic Skills Necessary:

  • short rows with turning....no wrap and turn, tho.

Pattern Description:

This snug little beanie starts at the back and knits
sideways around the head forming earflaps along
the way. It is knit in a soft Merino Cashmere blend
from ZEALANA for a wonderful softness and comfort.

You may want to use a magnetic board to help you follow all the
many rows.

You can substitute a circular needle instead of straight.

Gauge:

22 sts = 4 inches in stockinette stitch.

Materials:

  • sport wt wool recommended
  • Willow by Zealana, 50 gr/140 yds. 70% NZ Merino/30% Cashmere, sport weight. You will need: 1 ball of yarn A (contrasting color) 1 ball of yarn B ( main color).
  • Needles: 10" or longer straight needles size US 5 - 7.

You Will Also Need:

  • Tapestry needle.

Suggested yarn:

140 yards of Sport weight
