Pattern Description:

~ New to knitting?

~ Not yet comfortable knitting in the round on double pointed needles?

~ These cable fingerless gloves are knitted flat on straight needles and can be knitted over a
weekend.

~ Made in two sections and then sewn together.

~ Make longer for arm warmers or keep short for hand warmers.

~ The stitches used are knit and purl. Includes instructions for how to knit a cable stitch.

Gauge:

Approx. 19 rows x 14 stitches = 10x10 cm (4x4 inches)

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Hand Warmers Fits small to medium women's hand Size - 7" x 3.5" (18cm x 9cm) Arm Warmers Fit small to medium women's hand/arm Size - approx.13" (33cm) long Will fit approx. 7.5" (19 cm) circumference around knuckles. Stretches to fit approx. 10" (25cm) around widest point just below elbow

Materials:

  • Sirdar Click Chunky 50g 1 ball is just sufficient for small/medium hand warmers, x2 for the arm warmers.
  • Debbie Bliss Luxury Donegal Tweed Aran 50g x2 balls hold two strands together to obtain gauge
  • Debbie Bliss Donegal Tweed Chunky 100g x1 skein is plenty for hand warmers but only just enough for the arm warmers - don't waste any.
  • Debbie Bliss Rialto Chunky 50g x2 balls, hand and arm warmers

You Will Also Need:

  • x1 pair 6.5 mm needles x1 cable needle ( or spare double point needle) Blunt tapestry needle for sewing
