Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Knitting in the round
  • Yarn over

Pattern Description:

This cowl reminds me of a Tilt-a-Whirl, because of the spinning, spiraling eyelets, and a Walzer is the British word for a Tilt-a-Whirl. There you go, and Bob's yer uncle. Soft, quick, pretty, fun. This cowl has it all. It's the perfect quick-knit, designed to highlight one fabulous skein of chunky-weight yarn, and just the thing for quick holiday knitting.

Gauge:

9 stitches = 4"/10 cm in stockinette stitch.

Materials:

  • US #13/9 mm (or size to get gauge) for working in the round (16"/40 cm or 20"/50 cm circular is suggested, but a set of double pointed, or two circulars, or one long circular for magic loop will also work).

You Will Also Need:

  • Tapestry needle
  • Stitch marker

Preferred Brand/Yarn:

Shown in Imperial Stock Ranch Native Twist (100% Columbia wool; 150 yards/137 meters per 4 ounce/113 gram skein)

Colorway:

Dusty Rose
