Pattern Description:

This cozy cowl is an easy introduction to lace knitting in the round. The stitch patterns are simple and easily memorized. The cowl is completely reversible, and can be worn in many ways.

While it looks smashing in a solid color, it is designed for self-striping yarns with long, slow color transitions, such as Knit Picks Chroma and Crystal Palace Yarns Mini-Mochi.

Pattern includes charts and written instructions, and has been tech edited and test knit.


14 st/32 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) in pattern st, blocked

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 46 inches (117 cm) circumference x 13 inches (33 cm) high


  • 396 yd (362 m) fingering/4 ply/super fine yarn
  • US 8 (5 mm) 24-inch (60 cm) circular needle
