About the designer

If sanity counts, count me out. I'm a homeschooling mom of 3 who knits and crochets, teaches that knitting and crocheting, and designs patterns for knitting and crocheting.

(6) Name: 'Knitting : Vivere

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • knit
  • simple stranded colorwork

Pattern Description:

My BKF (best knitting friend) asked me to create a simple colorwork pattern for her to try her hand at alternating colors. She wanted something to cover her ears in lieu of a hat. After playing around with graph paper on a few different knit nights we settled on this pattern. The yarn is never carried more than 2 sts, making this a very easy pattern for learning to tension colorwork. Easy to size large/small, short/tall, I sized it as a cowl.

Vivere is latin for 'to live' and is the root of the English 'vivid'.
