I am Deborah. I am fortunate to be able to spend my days doing the things I love most in life: knitting, sewing, designing, cooking, baking, reading and writing. I am trying to learn, with an open mind, as much as I can from this life without having to repeat my mistakes or the mistakes of my parents.
Some people see a gorgeous sunset and photograph it. Others paint it. I knit it. Fiber and fabric are my media. Knitting the sunset makes it mine.
The Versatile Kenzie Kowl is my Fiber Factor submission for the third challenge: Blank Slate. I love Kenzie! This yarn is all about soft, comfy texture. Achieve a great double-thick cowl that highlights the soft plush nature of the wool and its deep texture. I can submit only 3 photos, but I found at least a dozen different ways to wear the Kenzie Kowl. This pattern scratches so many knitting itches. It is knit in-the-round and, because it closes with natural, handmade bone buttons, you can twist it for a moebius before buttoning, or leave it flat showing the stockinette side or the bee-stitched side. Leave it unbuttoned and you have a scarf. Easy and fun!
