Pattern Description:

I have always loved the beautiful and elaborately elegant Venetian masks. Using them as inspiration for my Venetian collection, I designed my Veneto cowl with slipped stitches to recreate the colorful swirls of a Venetian mask.

The pattern includes instructions for both a long tailed cast on and a tubular cast on/bind off, as well as both charted and written directions for the main section of the cowl.

Gauge:

20 stitches x 26 rows = 4 inches in Stockinette Stitch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 29 (50) inches/ 74 (127) cm x 8 inches/20 cm

Materials:

  • 150-250 yd of Main Color Worsted Weight Yarn
  • 100-200 yd of Contrast Color Worsted Weight Yarn
  • US Size 7 circular needles

You Will Also Need:

  • Stitch marker
  • yarn needle
  • 2 smaller circular needles (tubular version only)
  • waste yarn (tubular version only)

Suggested yarn:

400 yards of Worsted weight
