The Vanilla Bean pattern is a vintage style lace cloche that looks intricate, but it actually incredibly simple to knit. Shaped only by yarn overs and knit-two-togethers, the cloche is knit top down in a spiral pattern that continues through the body and is finished with a pretty scalloped edging. Knit in a breathable cotton, the Vanilla Bean is not only incredibly soft, but has the right amount of stretch to it--lasting through children's many growing seasons. This cloche is perfect transition hat from winter to spring.

Designed to accompany the Vanilla Bean Cloche pattern, the Vanilla Bean socks look intricate, but are actually incredibly simple to knit. Knit creatively from the toe up and shaped by simple short rows, they provide a fun alternative to the "normal" baby shower gift. The lace pattern is shaped only by knit-two-togethers and yarn overs, and is finished with a pretty scalloped edging. Knit in a breathable cotton, these vintage-style lace socks are not only incredibly soft, but also have the perfect amount of stretch to them providing comfort and cushion to growing little feet.

I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest and I am constantly inspired by the beautiful landscape around me. I find translating the beauty of nature into a one-of-a-kind knitted garment to be a fascinating puzzle. Designing is a blast and I very much enjoy seeing a project go from an initial design sketch to a finished product and pattern. Even better is seeing another knitter confidently and easily knit up one of my pattern designs.
Having two little ones myself, I understand how picky children can be about clothing, especially knitted ones. I design all my patterns with the comfort and ease of movement that energetic children need, in mind. Not to mention, I know how much moms need easy-to-read instructions while they are busy multi-tasking while knitting! :-)
