These preppy mittens are a great gift for the excited student heading off to university. They keep hands toasty when the air conditioning gets out of control in the library, or when you head out to the beach for a picnic and poetry reading.

sizing: child (adult S, L)
Finished palm: 6 (7, 8) inches around
Finished length: 6.5 (7.0, 7.5) inches (adjustable)

materials:
Yarn: worsted / aran weight yarn
MC: 85 (90, 100) yds
CC: 50 (60, 70) yds

Gauge: 24 sts / 4" in stockinette stitch using larger needles
