I loved creating this design. The outside leaf pattern and the center panel leaf pattern really end up complimenting each other. The lace finishes beautifully when it is blocked and this bamboo/silk yarn was a dream to work with.
The finished shawl is lightweight, but warm. It's great for throwing over your shoulders to keep off the chills.

I feel that everyone needs a handmade blanket or sweater or scarf. Something that is unique and made with love and when it's used, you just feel a little bit more special. Baby items especially are the best! To wrap a baby in a handmade blanket or put on a pair of handmade baby booties, you know that the baby feels the love that goes with it. Regardless of who made the item, it's always better ...

That's one of the reasons that I started Spinning Sheep Designs. I want everyone to have the opportunity to give or receive a hand knit or crocheted item. They really are that much better!
