Top-Down Infant Cloche Pattern

- Stockinette Stitch
- k1f&b - Knit one stitch in the front and the back of the loop - an increase of 1 stitch
- k2tog - knit 2 stitches together - a decrease of 1 stitch
- Turkish Cast-On - instructions given
- Kitchener Stitch - instructions given
Pattern Description:
The little hat is knit in the round from the top down on double-pointed needles (DPNs). I like to use 2 needles for the live stitches and 1 needle to work with; however, you may find it easier to have 3 or 4 needles holding the stitches. I recommend looking for a set of 5 needles when buying DPNs.
Gauge:
4.5 stitches and 7 rows = 1 inch in stockinette stitch with main color.
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- Brim - small 13 inches, larger 15 inches
- Height - small 5.5 inches, larger 6 inches
Materials:
- 1 skein Med. Wt. (#4) soft yarn for main color (Caron Simply Soft suggested)
- 1 skein Sport Wt. or Baby Sport Wt. (#3) for contrasting color (Bernat Softee Baby sugessted)
- US Size 3 double pointed needles
