Basic Skills Necessary:

  • knit
  • purl
  • yo= yarn over

Pattern Description:

This easy to knit ultra stylish shawlette or bandana cowl features garter stitch edging and a shawl "spine" that resembles a thunderbolt or zig zag.

The shawlette is finished off either by sewing up the opposing ends at the top edge or by adding a button for closure.

Gauge:

17 stitches and 24 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • The finished shawlette measures approximately 32" across the top edge, 15" in height and 19" at its sides.

Materials:

  • 200 yards of Worsted weight yarn
  • Size 8 knitting needles
  • Sewing needle, thread, button.
