Pattern Description:

The wood and hill lay under blankets of snow, but the buds and bulbs begin to push forth Breaking earth and dotting tree. The wind is still crisp and the earth still frozen but soon the warming sun will bring back new life.

This thrummed version are inspired by the "Slippers Biscotte's" with instructions to thrum and sizing for true fit. Slippers Biscotte's Version was an alternative version of Yuko Nakamura "Non-felted slippers" by Louise Robert.

These wonderful slippers are sure to keep you warm and fit like a glove.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Sizes provided for 5-11 women's could be adjusted farther.


  • 114 gr of worsted weight wool yarn.
  • Roving for thrums
  • Circular needle size 8, 5.5 mm (or size needed to obtain gauge), length of cable : 100 cm and +.
