Basic Skills Necessary:

  • knit, purl, duplicate stitch, mattress stitch

Pattern Description:

I think a pocket on a knitted hat can be so useful and clever. You can tuck your house key in it or maybe some extra cash for an emergency. Add an eye-catching button and you have one very fun hat.


5 sts and 7 rows = one inch in St st in the rnd

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • To Fit Head Circumference of 20-21 and 22-23"


  • U.S. size 6 and 7 - 16" circular needles
  • U.S. size 7 dp needles
  • Tapestry Needle
  • One skein Cascade 220 worsted

You Will Also Need:

  • One 7/8" button

Suggested yarn:

220 yards of Worsted weight
