Pattern Description:

The Lizzie Hat/Chemo Hat knits up fast, being knit from the bottom up and in the round, using worsted weight yarns. A great stash buster or you can choose to simply knit it up in one color. It uses the basketweave stitch and twisted stockinette stitch. Enjoy using a variegated yarn in the band and crown of the hat. If you have ever braided hair, then you will find it super easy to follow the clear directions for the braid, which beautifully sets off the whole look! (U Tube has some great tutorials if you are needing just a bit more of a visual).

Wear it to just look snazzy, wear it on a bad hair day, or donate it to your local cancer center and help out a fellow sister undergoing chemo!

Gauge:

4.5 stitches = 1" and 6 rows in stockinette stitch.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

Size small (19-20.5"), size medium (21-22.5"), size large (23-24") approx.

Materials:

Yarn: Red Heart Soft yarn-color #1-65 yds, Red Heart Soft yarn, color #2, 90 yds, Mochi Plus 30 yds or any other variegated worsted yarn.

You Will Also Need:

Size 8-16" circular knitting needle, or size to give you gauge, set of four DPNs size 8, stitch marker (1), measuring tape, tapestry needle, scissors.
