Basic Skills Necessary:

  • cast on, bind off, knit, purl, decrease, slip stitches, psso and yarn over

Pattern Description:

When you see how many colors are in one skein of "Gina" from Plymouth Yarn Co., it makes you think of all the colors that jelly beans come in. Add the fact that you're making a "beanie" and you quickly realize that the perfect name for this design is, "The Jelly Beanie."

After the ribbing has been completed, there's a section of a slanted pattern that is sure to hold your interest before continuing on in St st. This is the perfect pattern for the intermediate knitter.


5 sts and 7 rnds = 1" in St st

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • To Fit Head Circumference of 20-21 and 22-23"


  • 2 skeins of Gina worsted weight yarn.
  • U.S. Size 6 (4.0mm) Circular 16" needle.
  • U.S. Size 7 (4.5mm) Circular 16" needle.
  • U.S. Size 7 (4.5mm) double pointed needles.
