Skill Level:

medium skill level requirement Intermediate

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • knitting, increasing, decreasing, intarsia

Pattern Description:

This series of baby hats was inspired by my new grand daughter Ariya. There are three patterns in all: The Intarsia Daisy Beret, the Picot Edged Flower Topped Beanie, and the Ruffled Garden Cap.
The beret requires 3 different colors for the intarsia. If you want to make just a cute beret without the daisy, you will only need one ball. Like wise for the garden cap. The beanie requires only scant amounts for the stripe and flower (check your stash!).
FYI: if you decide to make the intarsia beret with 3 balls of the Rowan Wool-Cotton, you will have enough left over to make the flower topped beanie too.

28 sts and 38 rows in stocking stitch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

197 yards of Fingering weight
