So often, the beauty of hand painted yarns calls out to be made into something beautiful. Mitered diamonds seem particularly suited to this type of yarn as they create small blocks of the yarn and prevent undesirable pooling or stripes.
This scarf is composed of garter stitch mitered diamonds. They are really easy and addictive. You make one diamond at a time and join them together as you go, by picking up stitches from the adjoining diamonds. There is no sewing at the end. The sides are filled in by triangles to make a straight edge. The scarf is finished off with a simple single crochet edge.
This pattern will create an elegant and eye-catching scarf for you.
28 stitches/ 4 inches, 28 ridges/ 4 inches in garter stitch.
