Stitch pattern is both written and charted.
Tectum - means a cover or shield -it is also the word for cell as in the cells of the honeycomb.
This snuggly warm cowl is made from only one skein of yarn and some basic lace stitches. Fully reversible with amazingly cool textures on both sides, I like to fold mine so both sides show at once : ) Beautiful and with the 'anywhere buttons (directions for them included in pattern) it is extremely versatile as well. Can also be made as a full length scarf-- just use more yarn and continue stitch pattern to desired length! OR widen by adding multiples of 2 to your CO --this will also need more yarn, as shown/directed I used the whole hank
Fast and fun to knit!
Simple to remember stitch pattern 8 row repeat (2-4 stitch repeat -varies on rows) ..it seems complex at first but once you knit a rep or so you will fly thru this cowl and want to whip up some more.
The Malabrigo Rasta is highly recommended but not essential- you may use another super bulky that will get you near gauge.
2 stitches per inch in stockinette
90 yards of Bulky weight
