Sylvania is a triangular shawl with a large spine ornate with leaves and cables. It's worked top-down. The border is knitted from left to right by picking up the stitches from the last row of the shawl.
The pattern was created for sock or DK weight yarn but it can be made with any yarn. Two sizes are suggested in the pattern but you can add or remove rows to the body of the shawl if you wish to achieve a different size or if you are using smaller or bigger yarn. The pattern indicates where to add or remove rows.
The shawlette requires 480 yds of sock weight yarn and the shawl requires 610 yds of DK weight yarn.
