Pattern Description:

Swirl, a soft, cozy knitted beret, is the perfect accessory for effortless style. Or, let's be real, it will hide unwashed hair and make you look put-together even though you rolled out of bed five minutes ago! I made the original Swirl years ago, and it's still one of my favorite hats.

The ribbed brim means this hat stays comfortably slouched on the head without needing bobby pins. I've sewn a coordinating button on the crown, but you could use a big ol' bead, or even a punk pin! The easy-to-memorize swirl pattern of this beret keeps each round interesting without being too difficult. It's great for knitters who want something a little more challenging than basic stockinette, but still want to be able to listen to their favorite TV show or podcast or carry on a conversation while working on it!
