This shawl brings you the blue summer sky with feathery curtains stretching o(tm)er the sun(tm)s bright couch. (Percy Bysshe Shelley) Choose other colors and watch your project turn into a spring meadow with blooming flowers a Japanese cherry orchard just use your imagination and your shawl will tell its own story.

Sunny with a Few Clouds is worked from the top down and shaped with easy short rows. Tutorials for the cable-cast on and the lifted increase are included.The pattern contains both charted and written-out instructions.

Gauge:

18.5 stitches / 33 rows = 10 cm (4 inches) in pattern (Chart A) using 3.5 mm (US 4) needles, blocked

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • XS: 112 cm x 43 cm (44 inches x 17 inches)
  • M: 148 cm x 54 cm (581/4 inches x 211/4 inches)
  • XL: 184 cm x 65 cm (721/2 inches x 251/2 inches)

Materials:

  • 2.5 mm (US 11/2) circular needle, 80 or 100 cm (32 or 40 inches) long
  • 3.5 mm (US 4) circular needle, at least 100 cm (40 inches) long
  • 3.75 mm (US 5) circular needle, at least 100 cm (40 inches) long
