Pattern Description:

Part 3 of a series of 3 patterns with extreme versatility to mix and match - add or omit the intarsia charts where and how you want to make a special Layette personal to you - ideal for twins and triplets if you wish to dress them in similar but not matching garments

Part 3 consists of:
Pram/Crib Blanket ... girl version
Pram/Crib Blanket ... boy version
Blankie Buddies to match

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Blanket:
  • On 4mm needles: Approx 22"W x 24"L
  • On 4.5mm needles: Approx 26"W x 28"L
  • On 5mm needles: Approx 30"W x 32"L


  • Pink Set: Approx 230-300grams of white Double Knit yarn (USA sport, AUS 5-8ply)
  • Approx 100grams of pink Double Knit yarn (USA sport, AUS 5-8ply)
  • Approx 25grams of rose pink for intarsia
  • Approx 30grams of grey for intarsia
  • Blue Set: Approx 230-300grams of white Double Knit yarn (USA sport, AUS 5-8ply)
  • Approx 100grams of blue Double Knit yarn (USA sport, AUS 5-8ply
  • Blankie Buddy: Approx 50grams of white Double Knit yarn (USA sport, AUS 5-8ply)
  • Small amount of blue or pink/grey for head and zigzag pattern

You Will Also Need:

  • Length of ribbon for eyelet strip round blanket frill
  • Trimmings for girl pink top frill if required
  • Size UK8, 7 & 6 Knitting Needles (USA6, 7 & 8 - Metric4mm, 4.5mm & 5mm) depending on size required for blankets
  • Small amount of wadding for mouse head on Blankie Buddy
  • Size UK10 & 8 Knitting Needles (USA3 & 6 - Metric 3.25mm & 4mm) for Blankie Buddy
  • Size 3.5mm Crochet Hook (Letter E or No.4)
