Pattern Description:
This very stylish combo provides both a scarf and a hat in one. The scarf wraps around the front of the head, crosses behind the back of the neck, then wraps around the front for total warmth. Stitches are then picked up for both the crown and the brim with a button for the neck strap.
Samples are knit in soft alpaca for a luxurious feel.
Gauge:
5 stitches/inch in stockinette stitch.
Materials:
- 1 Crochet hook.
- 1 set straight needles, 1 16" circular, and 1 set double pointed in size US 5-7, depending on your gauge.
- I suggest a worsted weight wool or alpaca.
- I used Certified Sorted Alpaca (see resource at bottom) for the white/black version and Baby Alpaca Brush by Plymouth Yarn for the Green/Blue version. You will need 200gr for main color (MC) and 50gr for contrast color (CC).
- 1 Large Button
