Pattern Description:

This pattern is for a stylish striped beanie with a rolled brim and knitted rose.

All you need to know is knit, purl and simple decreases.
Looks superb on all baby girls as well as children.

This pattern for a classic striped beanie comes in 6 sizes: Newborn, 3 months, 6 months, 12 months, 2 to 4 years, 5 to 7 years.
Quick and easy to knit in 10 ply (Worsted Weight) yarn.

For a winter hat choose wool, for a summer hat choose cotton.

Designed to be knit in the round, but I have included instructions on how to knit a flat knit version.

Requires knitting needles size 5mm or US 8.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Sizes: 0 months, 3 months, 6 months, 12 months, 2-4 years, 5-7 years


  • 25 (25,25,50,50,50) grams of 10 ply wool yarn in main colour
  • 25 (25,25,50,50,50) grams of 10 ply wool yarn in contrast colour
  • A set of DPN's in 5mm or US8
