Basic Skills Necessary:

  • do stranded knitting with at most two colors in the round

Pattern Description:

Easy pattern but great effect!
The colors make the difference.
And the crown is especially lovely.
This beanie will fit head sizes S/M (up to 56cm of head circumreference).
For bigger heads use bigger needle size.


Knitting gauge: 1 x 1 inch: 8 stitches and 9 rows.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • This beanie fits size S and M (L). (up to 56 cm head circumreference)
  • For bigger sizes go up one needle size and/or use 5-ply yarn


  • 35 g of grass green 4-ply sock yarn, 40 g of black 4-ply sock yarn, 20 g of yellow, blue, violett and red 4-ply sock yarn.
  • Circular needle 40 cm 3.00 mm and 5 double pointed needles size 3.00 mm for the top of the head.
  • You can also use 4- to 5-ply Acrylic or Merin yarn

You Will Also Need:

  • tapestry needle to weave in the ends

Suggested yarn:

230 yards of Fingering weight
