Pattern Description:

I was inspired to create these mitts while working Jill Draper's Sprout-Double Knit Cowl pattern. There was just enough yarn left over after making the cowl to create these gorgeous matching fingerless mitts and Jill Draper was kind and allowed me to utilize a portion of her chart in my pattern.

This pattern is rated as Adventurous Beginner. With patience and a willingness to learn, I feel a beginner knitter could work this pattern. Videos are available on my website to assist those unfamiliar with these techniques.


9.5 sts x 14 rows in Stockinette Stitch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 6" tall
  • 7.25" - 8.5" hand circumference


  • 60 yds Main Color Worsted Weight Yarn
  • 80 yds Contrast Color Worsted Weight Yarn
  • Size 5/3.75 mm DPNs
  • Size 8/5.0 mm DPNs

You Will Also Need:

  • Stitch Marker
  • Tapestry Needle

Suggested yarn:

140 yards of Worsted weight
