Soria Shawl

Pattern Description:

Soria is a curved semi-circular shawl based on Elizabeth Zimmerman's Half-Pi Shawl.

The simple lace pattern is only 4 rows but repeats to great effect. The shawl then is finished with a ruffle of over 1200 sts. Don't let that number intimidate you, though - it's great TV knitting.

The top edge of the shawl has enough leeway to be blocked in a shallow or deep curve depending on your preference. Instructions are provided for larger and smaller sizes.

The name of this shawl was inspired by Canciones de tierras altas (Songs from the High Country) by Antonio Machado.

This pattern has been test-knitted.
