The second in our Graduating Stripes Series, this semi-circular shawl is created with contrasting stripes reminiscent of sonar waves. Similar to Diffraction, but so very different.
Worked from the top down in stockinette and edged with attached I-Cord. Directions are written and stripe patterns are charted.
Perfect for solid, variegated and color changing yarns.
Directions included for Lace, Fingering & Aran weight.
Lace - MC 500 yds, CC 400 yds
Fingering - MC 450 yds, CC 200 yds
Aran - MC 350 yds, CC 175 yds
Per 4" (10cm) in blocked stockinette stitch.
Lace: 18.5 stitches & 33 rows
Fingering: 16 stitches & 20 rows
Aran: 14 stitches & 17 rows
650 yards of Fingering weight
Inspired by strong lines and solid, bold patterns. My designs tend to follow graphic lines, but have been known to jump randomly to the lacey, girly side for some diversion. You never know what will come up next!
