Despite many attempts, I have not been able to master the fair-isle technique. My solution was to learn how to double knit. The bonus is that the fabric is double thickness offering the perfect warmth on a cold Canadian day.
The instructions are very clear for any first time double knitter and once the technique has been mastered this is a very simple knit.

I am a yarn wench in the most delightful way. I am loving the process of hand dying yarns. I am the owner of an online shop called Yummy Yarn Studio that came to be October 2010 at the full encouragement of my yarny friends. Over the last 2 years I have also been stretching my designer's muscle. My patterns range from socks to shawls and sweaters.
