Basic Skills Necessary:

  • do stranded knitting with two colors in one round
  • knit and purl

Pattern Description:

When it snows everything looks so nice and quiet and is covered by a blanket of snow like in this snow landscape cowl.
It only uses two colors (blue and white) and is therefore also suitable for stranded knitting beginners.

It has a false cable corrugated ribbing which fits the winter theme in a nice way.

8 stitches and 8 rows = 1 inch in stranded knitting.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Length: 2 x 29 cm (58 cm) (29 cm front and 29 cm back) Height: 22 cm


  • about 50 g of blue 4-ply sock yarn
  • about 50 g of off-white 4-ply sock yarn

You Will Also Need:

  • circular needle 3.00 mm (40 cm)
  • tapestry needle to weave in the ends

Suggested yarn:

230 yards of Fingering weight

Preferred Brand/Yarn:

Buttinette sckli, Opal uni solid
