Pattern Description:

This design features a simple and easy to remember fair isle pattern, great for beginners learning stranding technique! Ear flaps are knit first, then worked into the cast on round. Sizing for hat implies stretching for a snug fit, size up if you prefer a roomier cap.

Gauge:

20 stitches and 26 rows per 4 inches in stockinette

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Finished Circumference: 11.5 (13, 14.5, 16, 18) inches
  • Size: Newborn(0-6 months, 6-12 months, Toddler, Child)

Materials:

  • 45 (53, 60, 70, 78) yards MC and 30 (35, 40, 45, 50) yards CC worsted weight yarn

You Will Also Need:

  • Size 7 (4.5mm) 16" circular needles and set of 5 DPNs, crochet hook, stitch marker
