Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Lace knitting (yarn over, k2tog, double center decrease)
  • Bind off purlwise

Pattern Description:

The openwork lace used in this cowl is beautifully accented by the shimmer of Lurex and halo of mohair. The cowl can be knit to a smaller or larger circumference by working fewer or more repeats of the lace pattern.

It can be worked with only 1 ball of yarn (with a yardage more than 232 yds).

Gauge:

18 stitches and 25 round = 4"(10cm) in Lace pattern, blocked

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 40"/102cm circumference and 9"/23cm deep, blocked

Materials:

  • 1 skein (25g) of mohair yarn
  • US 7 (4.5mm) Circular neelde 24"/60cm long
