Like undulating waves caressing small pebbles by the waterfront, this shawl has flowing shapes and distinct little rocks.
Shallow Waters is a lacy shawl with increases incorporated into the motifs. Wider than a traditional triangle, it holds its place on your shoulders securely and beautifully. The shawl can be enlarged by knitting additional repeats but remember that a surprising amount of yarn is required for the edge charts.
Blue shawl (with nupps) used 2 skeins Malabrigo Lace in Azul Profundo, 100% Merino, 470yd/430m per 50g on 3.5 mm (US 4) needles. Blocked size (A, B, C) is 61 x 100 x 112 cm (24 x 39 x 44 inches). Gauge: 22 stitches is 10 cm in stockinette.
Turquoise shawl (with beads) used 2 skeins Knit Picks Stroll Tonal in Canopy, 75% Merino, 25% Nylon, 462yd/422m per 100g on 4.0 mm (US 6) needles. Blocked size (A, B, C) is 63 x 104 x 117 cm (25 x 41 x 46 inches). Gauge: 22 stitches is 10 cm in stockinette.
