Basic Skills Necessary:

  • knit, picking up stitches, k2 together

Pattern Description:

If you've never done miters before, this is a good project to learn on. If you've done miters previously you'll still enjoy the fun way the miters come together. It looks exceptionally pretty in a shaded yarn.

Gauge:

5.5 sts/1" in garter stitch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 5" x 48" (7" x 60") or desired length

Materials:

  • 1 skein sock yarn---approx 400 yds (a shaded yarn works very well)
  • Size 6 needles or size needed to get your gauge (the shades of gray scarf was made from Zauberball by Schoppel Wolle that has 459 yds and the narrower scarf is made with a discontinued Noro yarn that has 355 yds.)
