Pattern Description:

I fell in love with Poems Puzzle -- an "I-cord" yarn that lends itself beautifully to this textured headband. One skein makes the headband with yarn left over.

The headband can also be a great stash buster. The pattern includes notes on using stash yarns to create similar headbands, each with a unique look, as well as on adjusting for slightly smaller needle sizes. (The headband in the third photo above was made with four strands of stash yarns.)

The Seven Stitch Headband -- a warm, stylish headband -- is a very quick knit for yourself or gift giving! With a gentle taper at the back of the neck, the headband is approximately 4 1/4" wide from ear to ear.

In Poems Puzzle 7 stitches - 4 1/4" in Pattern Stitch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Approximately 19 1/2" long, by 4 1/4" wide
  • Sizing is adjustable

  • 1 skein of Wisdom Yarns Poems Puzzle (200 grams, 66 yards)

You Will Also Need:

  • #19 (15 mm) needles or size to get gauge
  • Large-eyed tapestry needle
  • OR large crochet hook for joining seam
