Long crescent-shaped stole with dome & minaret edging, reminiscent of the Selimiye Mosque in Edirne, Turkey. This wrap is knit from the bottom up, then given gentle shaping with short rows. Part of the Sailing To Byzantium Collection, designs inspired by the art and architecture of ancient Constantinople.
Gauge: 14 st x 30 rows/4" in stockinette stitch; one repeat is approximately 2.5", after blocking. Gauge is not critical for this project, however a different gauge may result in a smaller or larger finished shawl, and different yardage requirements.
