Salish Sea Shawl

from NewNorwegian
(6) Name: 'Knitting : Salish Sea Shawl
Salish Sea Shawl
Salish Sea Shawl

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • read charts
  • provisional cast-on
  • yo, ssk, k2tog, k/p tbl

Pattern Description:

Salish Sea is a curved semi-circular shawl with a stockinette body and Old Shale border.

The shawl is worked from the top down and finished with a crochet chain bind-off. All the increases for the lace section are made on the first row of the lace pattern; thereafter the curve is shaped by progressively increasing needle size.

Although the sample shawl was knitted in laceweight, it would be equally effective in fingering or a lofty DK weight yarn. In that case, you will need more yardage than is listed here.

This pattern has been test-knitted.
