Pattern Description:

Soft, delicate and elegant, Saku Hana (blooming flowers) mitts feature a sophisticated panel of stitches reminiscent of a Japanese flower garden.

The mitts were designed especially for Colour Adventures Dia Aran, a soft plump yarn, with a beautiful twist.


26 sts and 28 rnds / 4" in rib pattern, after blocking at rest, on bigger needles

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • S(M) - child to adult
  • Palm circumference: 5.25(6)"/13.5(15)cm
  • Length: 8.5(10.5)"/21.5(26.5)cm


  • 150 - 160 yards (137 - 146 m) aran weight yarn
  • US 6 - 4.0 mm
  • US 8 - 5.0 mm

You Will Also Need:

  • 5 stitch markers
  • 2 cable needles (or one locking stitch marker)
  • tapestry needle
