Pattern Description:

This project is wonderful for beginning knitters! This hat is a basic for any little (or big) girl's closet! Two separate patterns are includedone in sport weight and one in worsted weight. Both patterns are written for any age--preemie to adult.

Gauge:

Sport Weight: 24 stitches and 30 rows per 4 inches in stockinette; Worsted Weight: 18 stitches and 26 rows per 4 inches in stockinette

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Finished Circumference (sport weight): 11 (12, 13.5, 15, 16, 17.5, 19)
  • Finished Circumference (worsted weight): 11 (12.5, 14, 16, 18, 19.5)
  • Size: Preemie (Newborn, 3-6 months, 6-12 months, Toddler, Child, Adult Woman)

Materials:

  • Sport Weight: 75(83, 94, 105, 112, 120, 131) yards MC, small amount CC
  • Worsted Weight: 112(128, 142, 162, 183, 200) yards MC, small amounts of CC1 and CC2

You Will Also Need:

  • Sport Weight: Size 4 (3.5mm) 16" and 32" circular needles and set of 5 DPNs, stitch marker
  • Worsted Weight: Size 7 (4.5mm) 16" and 32" circular needles and set of 5 DPNs, stitch marker
