Pattern Description:

Scrumptiously winding around your neck, the River Cowl fights off the chill with double layers of cabled fabric. It's worked sideways in the round, all in one piece. Cable Pattern is both fully written & charted. Supplement the circumference or width easily by tacking on additional cable repeats.


14 sts and 16 rows per 4 inches in River Cable Pattern

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Finished Circumference: 14 inches
  • Finished Width: 9.25 inches (cowl is worked doubled)


  • Yarn: 300 yards super bulky weight yarn
  • Tools: Size 11(8 mm) 16" circular needles, stitch marker

Suggested yarn:
