I purchased this pattern. in the directions it just says to cast on and join to knit in the round and follow the chart. I need more directions. Do you knit one row then purl knit everything?? I don't understand about following the chart. I need more instructions

Thanks for your question.
So when you knit in the round, you'll be creating knit stitches all the way around and will have no need to purl. To create the two-colour pattern, you'll be picking up the colours as directed by the chart (often called stranded colorwork - there's lots of youtube videos demonstrating this if you need more help with this part).
So after you've cast on your stitches and have joined them to knit in the round, you'll begin by knitting 3 stitches in your first colour, 2 stitches in your second colour, and then 2 more stitches in your first colour (row 1 of the chart). You repeat row one until you reach the end of the 140 stitches. Without turning the work, you continue knitting, but now follow row 2 of the chart. Once you've completed all 10 rows of the chart, you start over at row 1.
I hope that helps, and if you have any other questions, feel free to ask!
