This corrugated rib-style stocking cap is cushy and warm. It is fully reversible, with the colors reversed on the opposite side. I designed this cap to match my Reversible Brioche Rib Neckwarmer, available separately in my shop.
Brioche Rib in two colors is fun to knit, and it is pretty relaxing once you get used to working the stitch. This 16-page pattern has many illustrations to walk you through working this stitch, from detailed instructions for making your gauge swatch (which teaches you how to work this stitch pattern flat) to the instructions for making the cap (which is knitted in the round). Also included are tutorials for the decreases used in the pattern and for the chain cast on, as well as tips and techniques.
The cap looks well in highly contrasting colors, but it also looks well in more muted colorways (see the projects for this pattern).

I was taught the basics of knitting, crochet, embroidery, and sewing by my grandmother when I was young. I have found that I enjoy doing a variety of fiber related crafts, and have over the years learned to spin yarn, weave, tat, braid, felt and bead. But the greatest satisfaction for me comes from using my God-given creativity to create my own designs and techniques.View all patterns by designer (23) »
