Pattern Description:
Traveling stitches cover the surface of these fingerless gloves in an intricate pattern reminiscent of ancient hand-knotted fishing nets. The stitch pattern is given in both written and charted form.
Gauge:
4" = 27 sts and 35 rounds in Reticulated Cable Pattern on larger needles
Note: yarn shown usually knits at 23 sts to 4" in Stocking Stitch
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- Hand Circumference: 6.25"(7.25", 8")
- Length: 7.5"
Materials:
- 145(170, 185) yards sport weight yarn
- US 2 (2.75mm) and 4 (3.5mm) sets of 4 double-pointed needles or size needed to obtain gauge and 2 sizes smaller
- cable needle
- stitch markers
- scrap yarn to use as stitch holders
- yarn needle
