I went ahead and did the buttonholes. They are a little wonky but still work. I love the cowl and have gotten many compliments and will have to upload a picture. Thanks for sharing the pattern!

Hi there,
I am somewhat of a beginner and am coming up to the 6 stitch button hole and am wondering if I need to do this or can I just sew the button on at the end? My project is going well and I am afraid of messing it up!

Hello. I would encourage you to try the buttonhole. Once the cowl is completed, the fabric is folded together and both buttonholes are pinched together and hooked onto the button. If you sew the button on without the buttonholes it may be too tight to fit over your head comfortably. You can do it! :)

Hi just a question, when knitting row 4, am I increasing each repeat by one stitch?

Hello, Thank you for your support. On row 4 the stitch count will remain the same. The [p1,k1,p1] into the same stitch is an increase of 2 sts, but the k3tog is a decrease of 2 sts so the st count will balance. Hope this helps. Kindest regards, Amanda

Do you allow people to sell what they make from your patterns?

Hi getpaid211
Yes I do as long as they are hand made items. Good luck!

Love this pattern, but I couldn't finish with just one hank of yarn - I needed just a bit more to finish the last 6 rows or so. When it says one "hank," how many ounces is that?

Hi Kathywalt61347.
The cowl shown in the photo used 1 hank of Knit Picks Wool Of The Andes Bulky. The hank is 100 grams and has 137 yards. Hope this helps.
