As a little girl I adored puppet mittens. I had a pair when I was four that I wanted to wear every day, regardless if the weather required it or not. How fun it was to have little friends on my hands with me throughout the day!
To appease all of our inner four year olds while also allowing our grownup sides to insist on things like warm hands and no frostbite, I designed these mittens. The puppet part lets us play and giggle on a routine day but is cleverly hidden in the sophisticated stranded colorwork. A first glance these mittens only reveal an abstract design. When the face is spotted, I dare anyone to stifle a grin.

Hi folks! I'm Annie and I have been crafting since before I knew what "crafting" was. I took up knitting in 2002 on a whim when I found a pamphlet in a Michaels store. I've been hooked ever since.
I have been deigning my own things for years but only started sharing them just over a year ago. I'm so happy to share all my ideas with everyone else!
