The rich, dark bodies of these socks were inspired by some of my favourite ales. The simple cables resemble droplets of ale settling in a glass and create a snug but stretchy fit.
The socks are knitted in the round from the cuff down. A chart and written instructions for the cable pattern are included.
36 stitches x 48 rounds = 10cm (4") in stocking stitch in the round.
48 stitches x 48 rounds = 10cm (4") in cable pattern in the round (lightly stretched).
Cable pattern gauge is approximate and given only as a guide. The pattern pulls in a lot when knitted but is very stretchy when worn.
