An easy beanie pattern with a band of stranded colorwork to make it unique and fun to knit.

It's named after the Rat Tonic potion from the Harry Potter books.

The pattern contains detailed written instructions for shaping, the colorwork pattern is charted only.

Detailed yarn requirements:
Main color: 150-200 yards.
Contrasting colors: 30-40 yards of each contrasting color.

Have fun knitting the cutest healthy whimsical rats.

Gauge:

24 stitches x 28 rows = 4" in stockinette.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • To fit head size 16" (20", 24").

Materials:

  • Sports weight yarn: 150 to 250 yards
  • Size US 4 / 3.5 mm set of 5 DPNs (or 16" circular or long circular for magic loop)
