Pattern Description:

This super chunky scarf is warm, stylish and super quick to knit, making it a great last minute gift for men or women.

Warm, cozy and long enough to hang around your neck or wrap around as a cowl.

It is very easy to knit, you only need to know basic knit and purl stitches. The pattern includes instructions for both a seamed or seamless version with a written explaination of Kitchener Stitch for 1x1 rib.

Measures approximately 50 inches (127cm) in length and 5 inches (12.5cm) in width (unstretched)

This size can be made with one skein of Patons Big Fab yarn but more would be needed for a larger cowl.


8 sts and 12 rows = 4"/10cm in St st.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Measures approximately 50 inches (127cm) in length and 5 inches (12.5cm) in width (unstretched)


  • 200g/130 yds Super Chunky/Super Bulky yarn
  • Knitting needles in size US 15 (10mm)
  • Tapestry needle

Suggested yarn:

130 yards of Bulky weight
