Pattern Description:

A version of this breath-taking purse was seen in an expensive boutique, it was crocheted. Upon many requests I adapted my crochet version (peony number 28) to knit, and wrote a pattern. The front of the purse is covered with coordinating knit flowers. Two strands of yarn are held together to knit this purse for a firm body. The clearly written pattern includes schematics and techniques.

Gauge:

18 stitches 24 rows = 4 inches in reverse stockinette stitch on size 6 needles
WITH 2 STRANDS HELD TOGETHER

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

approximately 15 inches wide x 11 inches high (without strap)

Materials:

Needful Yarns Geranium-50% linen 30% acrylic 20% rayon. 50 grams 104 yards, 7 balls knit version

gauge ruler, tapestry needle, 2 opening rings-3/4 inch, 8 buttons to match rings-5/8 inch, optional -3/4 yard lining fabric
size 5-size 6 straight needles
